We are deeply aware that nature’s resources are finite, and our goal is to leave a thriving planet for future generations. These values drive us to consistently practice socially sustainable viticulture with utmost respect for the environment.
Territory
The successful farming approach we use is based on IPM (Integrated Pest Management), which focuses on the integrated control of major plant diseases, insects, and pests. For this reason, we only use expertly selected phytosanitary products, with intervention only where absolutely necessary.
Consequently, our daily mission in all we do is to not only preserve, but also to enhance our land while conserving its resources. All of this is reflected in the care we dedicate to our Park and Rechsteiner Estate.
Sustainable Agriculture
To gain an understanding of the sustainable practices we adopt in our viticulture, the below reflects a few examples:
- we carry out pruning and managing the leaf cover of the vines to ensure a balanced development of each plant. As a result of, better light penetration and treatment application, as well as effective aeration, each plant is able to produce healthier and better-quality fruit.
- We maintain soil integrity and protect biodiversity by using mineral or organic fertilizers.
- For pest control, we employ the successful method of sexual confusion (using pheromones) and using natural parasites or predators.
Proud Beekeepers
We have proudly been beekeepers since 2014!
With the goal of sustainable development in our agricultural activities and beyond, we decided to embark on the journey of beekeeping. It wasn’t easy to study and understand this complex and delicate world, but over the years, we have produced honey which is appreciated for it’s authenticity and consistency. Our bees work tirelessly every day to transform the pollen from the Millefiori hedge, the Park and the centennial linden tree into nectar.
As a result, we produce raw honey while preserving all it’s organoleptic and curative properties. Additionally, we dedicate ourselves to educational activities like teaching young people the importance of these precious insects which are the extremely important guardians of our land.
We are VIVA certified
VIVA program is a government initiative promoted by the Ministry Environment and Energy Security, aimed at improving the sustainability performance of viticulture by analyzing four key indicators: air, water, land, and vineyards.
The goal is to measure the environmental impact of the entire vineyard-to-wine production process.
The sustainability analysis covers the entire lifecycle of the bottle—from the vineyards to the winery, from distribution to consumption, as well as waste management. It also evaluates the materials and services used throughout the entire production process.
