CARMENÈRE VENEZIA DOC

10.30

Carmenère is an ancient Bordeaux variety arrived in north-eastern Italy in the Nineteenth century. The name comes from the “carmine red” shade characterizing both the wine and leaves in autumn. Confused for decades with Cabernet Franc, it obtained DOC certification in Veneto in 2009, after years of careful ampelographic studies.
