Pinot Grigio comes from a bud mutation of Pinot Noir and is known since Middle Ages in the Burgundy region, where it was probably called Fromenteau. From Burgundy it soon spread over European countries and is nowadays cultivated also in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.S.

In Italy Pinot Grigio became the most widely recognized white wine, conquering consumers thanks to its delicate character and elegance.

GRAPES AND VINES:
Grape: Pinot Grigio
Denomination: Delle Venezie DOC
Production area: Veneto, Italia
Harvest time: beginning of September

WINEMAKER NOTES:
Short skin contact cold maceration for about 12 hours. Soft pressing of the grape after the fermentation at a constant, checked temperature of 18°C
Aging: 4-6 months in steel tanks

TASTING NOTES:
Colour: pale copper with pink shades
Nose: fruity nose with hints of yellow apple, pear and flowers
Taste: medium body, smooth palate and softending

SOMMELIER NOTES:
Food pairing: is ideal with appetizers, fish entrées and risottos or with fresh and semi-seasoned cheeses. Also a pleasant wine as an aperitif.
Serving temperature: 10-12°C

NOTE: This wine contains sulfites
