Rediscovering the frescoes of Villa Rechsteiner: a journey through art and memory
On Sunday, 25 May, during our ‘Villa in Festa’ event, we opened the doors of Villa Rechsteiner for a special occasion: a visit to the 17th-century frescoes on the façade, which were recently rediscovered and are now undergoing careful restoration.
It was a day of wonder and awareness, shared together with our restorers, true custodians of a knowledge that combines technique, care and deep respect for history.

The frescoes we are bringing back to light are not mere decorations: they are living testimonies of an era, signs of identity of a villa that has always been in dialogue with its territory and the people who live there.
These paintings, which remained hidden for decades under layers of plaster, are now visible once again, silent but eloquent, thanks to patient rediscovery work. They remind us that history is never truly over, but simply waits for new voices that know how to listen and recount it.

Our villa, a typical example of a Venetian villa with an agricultural function, is now a dynamic place where sustainable viticulture, hospitality, culture and sharing coexist.
