The wine of the month for June is our TAI VENEZIA DOC.

Every month, in our cellar, we celebrate the excellence of our vineyards through the ‘Wine of the Month’ column, an opportunity to share our most representative products with you. For this June, we are pleased to present our TAI VENEZIA DOC, an authentic white wine from the Veneto tradition, perfect for accompanying the beginning of summer. Tai has a long history, linked to the territory and the grape variety that was once called Tocai. Today, it is a wine that captivates with its immediacy and freshness.

Organoleptic characteristics

Its colour is a beautiful bright straw yellow which, on closer inspection, reveals greenish reflections. The nose offers an aromatic bouquet of white flowers and white-fleshed fruit, with hints of almond. On the palate, it is fresh and full-bodied, with a typical pleasant almond finish.

How to enjoy it best

Perfect paired with fish dishes, white meats or a simple platter of blue cheeses to enjoy outdoors.

Tai and its history

Tai was originally called ‘Tocai’, but was renamed in 2007 following a complaint lodged with the European Union by Hungary, due to the similarity of the name to that of the more famous wine, “Tokaji”, although the latter is produced from different grape varieties. The word ‘Tai’ belongs to the Friulian language and refers to a glass filled with wine. In Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Tocai became “Friulano”.
